Description: The first Friday in March was recognized as World Day of Prayer. All were welcome to St. Leo's Church on March 6 for an interfaith service that saw many people congregate in order to share their spirituality. The theme was, "Receive Children, Receive Me," and was written by the women of Cuba, the author country for this year. It was an uplifting service lead by Thelma D'Cunha that brought people together, no matter their culture, traditions or faith. The gathering was attended by religious leaders and followers of many different faiths including Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed a lovely reception with refreshments. World Day of Prayer was celebrated by over 170 countries. Next yearâs theme will be, "Am I Being Unfair to You?" written by the women of the Philippines.
